In this 8-week course offered by Quillwood Academy, participants will explore the intricacies and prospects of social and environmental collapse. The book How Everything Can Collapse, by Pablo Servigne and Raphaël Stevens, will guide our inquiry. Beyond exploring the topic of collapse, this course will also invite participants to experiment with a strong ethic of care that involves 1) being aware of our and others' nervous system states, 2) approaching topics from a place of curiosity rather than knowing or self-righteousness, 3) slowing our inquiry down and taking our time, and 3) letting collective interest guide our engagement. The course's orientation meeting will take place on Sunday, May 9, 2021, at 2:00 pm EDT using Zoom conferencing software. Future meetings will take place on the weekends of May 22-23, June 5-6, and June 19-20. This event is offered by donation, and will be facilitated by Eric Garza.
