Who’s Invited?

We invite people of any and all faiths from within and beyond the Deep Adaptation community to join us, engaging in faith-based inquiry and discussion addressing the needs and actions for healing in loving response to those who are awakened to the existential and spiritual crises of our times.

Why Do This?

We believe that - far from being in opposition - resonant harmony can be established between faith and spirituality on one hand, with existential truth and empirical reality on the other. Gathering as people of many diverse faiths sharing this perspective, we will explore that harmonious resonance in good faith as it relates to the values, principles, 4Rs, and other tenets of Deep Adaptation’s philosophical and spiritual grounds.

How Will the Event Be Facilitated?

As Open Space gatherings, DA’s Interfaith Circle events adopt the following framework, with guest and host-facilitator roles and responsibilities as shown:

Deep Adaptation values and gatherings principles:

  • Compassion
  • Curiosity
  • Respect
  1. Co-creation
  2. Open dialogue
  3. Awareness
  4. Connection
  5. Inclusivity
  6. Ownership

Open Space Technology principles:

  1. Whoever comes are the right people.
  2. Whatever happens is the only thing that could have happened.
  3. Whenever it starts is the right time.
  4. When it’s over it’s over.

For Interfaith Circle events especially:
Evangelizing, proselytizing, or apologetics for conversion or ontological, eschatological, or other theological disputes are discouraged. Denial of the truth and  reality of climate and ecosystem crises is also discouraged.
