Henk Barendregt received his doctorate in Mathematical Logic in 1971, and continued studying studied Zen meditation and Vipasssana meditation until 2006. As occupant of the chair of Foundations of Mathematics and Computer Science at Nijmegen University, he studied meditation and its neuropsychological effects.
